10 Unique DYI Skin Care Recipes using Dead Sea Salts


Dead Sea salt has so many beneficial qualities to the skin, and physical well-being. Many people visit Israel for the healing properties that the water of the Dead Sea has to offer. Being rich in minerals and magnesium sea salt is amazing for the slowing of aging and reducing fluid retention. Masks rich in sea salt are replenishing and nourishing to the skin, body and mind. Here are ten DIY delicious recipes for Dead Sea Salt that are easy to whip up in your own home.

10. Grape Seed salt Scrub

Blend one half cup Grape Seed oil with one cup of fine textured dead sea salt. Then add your favorite essential oils to the mix. Just a touch of peppermint oil or lavender will add the divine fragrance to this little scrub. Choose from your favorites and blend them all in a wooden bowl. Make sure it is not overly oily but textured for use.

9. Homemade Spa Scrub

This is very easy with two cups of dead sea salt and one and one third cups of mineral oil or baby oil. Take eight to ten vitamin E capsules and break them open squeezing them into the mixture. Add two generous tablespoons of honey and mix well. Make sure to store this in an air tight container for leftovers.

8. Olive and Macadamia Oil Sea Salt Scrub

This one is delicious and great for the senses as well. Mix soothing macadamia and olive oil with sea salt evenly with a nice texture add some grapefruit juice and apply before showering or while showering for a powerfully natural exfoliating scrub with skin softening power.

7. Refresher Sea Salt Spray

This one is very easy and will work almost instantly to rejuvenate your skin for longer days and nights. It is made with one cup of distilled water and a pinch of sea salt and a few drops of your favorite essential oils for gorgeous smell. Just mix generously in a clean spray bottle until the salt is dissolved and use as a toner and refresher for every day.

6. Sea Salt Exfoliating Scrub

This recipe is for rough patches of skin and great for exfoliating the skin. All you need is two cups of sea salt and four cups of almond oil and drops of your favorite essential oils to flavor. Be sure to store this scrub for future use in an air tight container.

5. Honey Mask with Sea Salt

For this quick treatment for acne just mix one teaspoon of sea salt with three teaspoons of hot water and dissolve. Then add one teaspoon of honey and generously mix together for a mask that will help keep acne at bay. Just leave on for ten minutes and let dry. Rinse generously with cool water.

4. Grapefruit Sea Salt Scrub

Another wonderful recipe for great skin and even helps acne is the Grapefruit Sea Salt Scrub. Just use one tablespoon of grapefruit juice, one tablespoon of grapefruit zest, one half cup of sea salt, one cup sugar, three tablespoons of coconut oil and three capsules of vitamin E. Just mix all together and be sure to pearce the vitamin E and squeeze into the mixture. You can store this scrub for about two weeks in the refrigerator. This is great for reducing oily skin.

3. Peppermint Scrub For Feet

Blend one and half cups sea salt and one third cup of extra virgin olive oil with three drops of peppermint oil. Blend together and use after a bath or foot bath to scrub stubborn heels and rough patches off of your feet.

Use three cups of fine sea salt with three fourths cup olive oil. Add in three fourths cup of almond oil. Mix ingredients together generously and store in air tight container. Use this afer you get out of the bath as a moisturizer for your skin leave on for best results.

1. Lavender Scented Sea Salt Scrub

Add one fourth cup of fine sea salt to one fourth cup olive oil and five drops of lavender essential oil for generous lavender scented scrub. Use this with a few drops of your favorite body wash in the shower or tub for an excellent scrub that smells and feels delicious.
